I can’t really remember when I started getting interested in art. I remember my Grandma had a painting of my Grandpa hanging in the basement. I always thought it was cool that my Aunt painted it. She had always been into art forms of all sorts so I think it rubbed off on to me. Anyway the whole tattooing thing fell right into my lap. I started piercing at Mind Altering in the summer of 2000 but I soon after moved on too greener pastures, so I thought. I worked at a couple of shops here and there but it didn’t feel right so after a series of unfortunate events I found myself back in La Crosse. I worked for Mind Altering for a couple of more years and the question was popped. Do you want to start an apprenticeship? I wasn’t sure what to think at first, I was caught by surprise! Next thing you know I’m still piercing, working the desk for free and tracing my ass off. I hated all of that shit but I think it’s starting to pay off. I’ve been tattooing for almost five years now and I can’t complain.
